Every minute detail is accounted for with Andrea, Gaia and her very helpful staff. They know their job and I'm not an event planner so I took their recommendations and suggestions and really let them lead me and I'm so glad I did. The whole event was perfect.I started planning my wedding over a year ahead because I knew I would never have the time to do it once grad school resumed, and Andrea kept us on task. She helped us select rentals from linens to chairs to the layout of the tables. It was simple and straight forward and we were able to stay in our budget.I found Girl & the Fig Caters! after talking to a few other Sonoma caterers and I realized they are the catering office of our favorite restaurant in Glen Ellen. At first I wondered if on a big scale the food would still taste wonderful like it does in the restaurant. My doubts were misplaced because the food was excellent and perfect at our wedding reception. The food was warm and just delicious. We had a buffet and hors d'oeuvres beforehand. We got the wine from the winery we rented for the event so they took care of serving and chilling of that for us.Our wedding took place on a very warm afternoon and my dress was hot and having bustle/train issues. The Girl & the Fig staff kept the refreshments going for us and I know I would have passed out if not for them bringing me water while taking pictures. I never imagined how busy I would get in the middle of a wedding ceremony and reception and if you don't have anyone bringing you water you will likely not feel well very quickly. It was so nice to have them watching out for me. I had to duck into the dressing room during the reception and again the wonderful staff followed me with the hors d'oeuvres while I got my dress situation straightened out. Tray after tray of specialty cocktails, champagne and fabulous appetizers appeared the second we were pronounced. Every taste was spectacular and you never were left to look for a drink or a bite. Servers were assigned to keep us hydrated and sampling the bites while we took all our photos. Then, dinner came off like a ballet. Perfect lines of servers came out with perfectly seared scallops and steak. It really was a knock out. Salads, sides, grilled vegetables, it was all so fresh and perfectly prepared. Another thing that stood out to us was the style of service. They are professional and attentive but also maintain a much appreciated reserved sense of warmth and friendliness. the girl the girl & the figHere are the Event Guidelines and additional information for planning a banquet or private event at the girl & the fig restaurant in Sonoma. Our restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner and is a great place to have a business meeting, baby shower, rehearsal dinner or wedding party. Private dining at the girl & the fig is for groups of 13 and more and is available Sunday evenings through Thursday evenings. We are unable to accommodate groups greater than 12 anytime on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sunday before 4pm. All private dining groups require a contract and special room rental fee which allows you the exclusive use of the areas and times specified for your party. If these guidelines do not fit in with your plans, please talk to us about the possibility of a private event at ESTATE, the fig café or an offsite catered event at a wine country location.You may also add specialty cocktails and cheese & charcuterie platters from our fully stocked bar and cheese bar to enhance your dining experience.the front roomSeats 13 - 26 guests. There are sliding doors that close to give the room a certain amount of privacy, while looking out onto the Sonoma Plaza. The configuration of the room provides for 2 tables of up to 12/13 guests per table. The room rental fee is $500 for 2½ hours and $750 for over 2½ hours. Dinners must start by 5:30 pm.the wine librarySeats 27 - 40 guests. This room is semi-private and is backed by a wall of our California Rhone wines. The configuration of the room provides for 2 tables of 11, 1 table of 12 and a table of 6. The room rental fee is $1000 for 3 hours and $1250 for over 3 hours. Dinners must start by 5:30 pm.the inside dining roomSeats 40 - 66 guests. This area consists of the Front Room & The Wine Library. The room rental fee is $1500 for 3 hours and $1750 for over 3 hours. Dinners must start by 5:30 pm.the patioSeats up to 75 guests. This is a private secluded area that gives the feeling of being in the Provence region of France. Heaters are provided and a tent can be rented (for an additional charge) in case of inclement weather. The patio has different table configurations that can be planned out depending upon the number of guests. The patio rental allows exclusive use of our outdoor dining area for a meal period during the day of your party. The patio rental includes a three course meal, 1/2 bottle of house select wine per person, soft drink, and coffee or tea. The rental fee for the patio is $8500 for 4½ hours. The Wine Room seats 13-24 guests and has glass doors that close to give your group privacy. The room fee of $250 allows guests the exclusive use of the room for up to 3 hours. Wine room parties order on-site from a limited menu created by our chef.The West Patio: Covered by a grape arbor, surrounded by a wrap-around porch and beautiful gardens, the West Patio is an ideal spot to entertain your friends and family. The West Patio seats 13-72 guests. The room fee of $500 allows guests the exclusive use of the patio for up to 4 hours. The room fee includes everything you need for your event. Customized tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware and glassware can be coordinated for additional fees. Floral centerpieces can be provided and start at $75 per arrangement. Parties of up to 24 guests can order on-site from a limited menu created by our chef or choose from our private dining menus. Groups of 25 or more must choose from our private dining menus. Plated service requires guests to pre-select menu choices in advance.The Restaurant Buyout: Seats up to 100 guests inside and 150 outside and allows for the exclusive use of our entire restaurant for a meal period the day of your party. The fee for a buyout is $10,000 Friday through Sunday and $8,000 Monday through Thursday for 4½ hours for up to 100 guests. The buyout fee includes passed hors d’eouvres, a three-course menu, wine (up to 1/2 bottle of wine per person chosen by our staff to pair with your meal), soft drinks, and coffee/tea service. Plated service requires guests to pre-select menu choices in advance.Additional guests will be charged according to the menu pricing.
